AntarcticAntarctic Pure Krill OilNeptuleinPure-Antarctic Krill Oil Best High Potency Omega-3 & Antioxidant Natural Combination

Krill Science   The Science Behind It. A Must Read!

I am sure you have heard about the benefits of fish oil, which can supply Omega-3 to your diet.  In fact, this EFA is just that, an essential fatty acid, - you must have it to live. Your body cannot produce it. Omega 3 is extremely important for brain and memory, cardio, and eye function. It also functions as an anti-inflamatory, pain killer, PMS - mood balancer, anti-aging agent, acne answer, prostate support, and much more!
The standard Western and now even Eastern diets are sadly lacking in Omega-3 fats. A quote from the book:  You Don't Have to be Afraid of Cancer Anymore by Bill Sardi:  "Omega-3 consumption in the Western diet has become so low that researchers can't find it in lab sample tissues. A study of men found higher concentrations of Omega-3 in blood serum samples taken from healthy males, with lower concentrations taken from men with prostatitis. The lowest rates were found in men with prostate cancer."
The balance between Omega-3 to Omega-6 should be two (2) Omega-3' to one (1) Omega-6.   "Data shows the modern western diets typically have ratios of omega-6 to omega-3 in excess of 10 to 1."
The imbalance of Omega-6 to Omega-3 can cause inflamation in the body and be a host of many medical problems.
The following link is another study from Dr. Nicolas Bazan of Louisiana State University and colleagues showing Omega-3 may protect against Parkinson's disease www.upi.com/Health_News/2009/04/20/Omega-3-may-protect-against-Parkinsons/UPI-32731240247314/
The Fish Problem
 The Fish Oil Problem
The FDA recommends that you eat - no more than - 12 oz's (1-2 fish portions) of fish per week because of toxic contaminants.  JAMA (Journal of the Medical Association) reports this astounding statistic: In a study they found, that women who ate three or more servings of fish within a 30-day period, had four times the level of mercury, than women who ate no fish during that same period.
Eating small amounts of fish will not supply the amount of Omega-3 the body needs. It can also raise the amount of heavy metals and toxins to dangerous levels. It is very difficult to get Omega-3 fats in a regular diet without eating fish. The most common contaminants found in fish include:
  •     Mercury
  •     PCBs
  •     Radioactive substances like strontium
Fish oil is so unstable it starts to oxidize as soon as it is extracted from the fish and exposed to oxygen, light, and heat. Fish oil begins to go rancid within days - labels often say it's safe to use up to four years. Just as eating a bad piece of fish, consuming rancid fish oil is dangerous because it will actually promote disease and cause free radicals. Fish oil capsules contain the same contaminants as fresh fish except in a more concentrated form. If the manufacturer decides to highly process the fish oil - taking out the contaminants, than you have a processed fish oil that loses much of it nutrients, natural make-up and organic properties..
The Krill Solution
The Krill Oil Solution
Over 3 Times The Potency of Fish Oil
Rigourously tested for potency and purity, Neptulein Krill Oil is nature's clean Omega-3 answer. The marine product is harvested from deep pristine waters of the Antarctic. It is mercury and toxin free and is a sustainable, replenishable shrimp-like planktonic crustacean. It is the main diet of the blue whale and is virtually pollution free.
Pure and Clean Neptulein Krill Oil carries omega-3 fats in the form of phospholipids. The unique phospholipid structure, bonded to their fatty acids, makes Krill Oil much more absorbable (bio-available) to the body than fish oil. Ingesting 1000 mg of fish oil is equivalent to ingesting 300 mg of Krill oil. Scientific evidence shows this form is the most effective way to transport EPA and DHA into your body's cells as it is identical to the fats in our own cells. Phospholipids are a lipid fat in its simplest form. Phospholipids are the main component of the plasma membrane (barrier) found around every single living cell on earth. This mebrane protects the cell from getting damaged. Fish oil, however, carries omega-3 fats in triglycerides form, which has much less bio-availability. Triglycerides are the chemical form in which most fat exists in food   The absorbability of triglycerides is 3 times less than a phospholipid form - this is why you need 3 times less Krill Oil than Fish Oil.
Quench Free Radicals
In addition to containing high concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids in phospholipid form, krill are naturally rich in an antioxidant called astaxanthin. Krill feed upon phytoplankton and algae, and these tiny creatures contain high amounts of a reddish pink antioxidant called astaxanthin. Out of all the antioxidants, astaxanthin is one of the few that can cross the blood-brain barrier. The scientific theory behind this special antioxidant is it helps overcome memory loss and potential memory related diseases. NeptuleinKrill Oil is not just a premium Omega-3 product, it is also the ultimate super antioxidant  and natural anti-aging formula- scoring 500 times more powerful than Vitamin E!
Krill Oil is superior to fish oil because it is in phospholipids form and naturally contain super antioxidants. The phospholipids and antioxidants in Krill Oil are naturally bonded together with the Omega-3's. This bonding process eliminates oxidation (breakdown) that causes rancidity - the fishy smelling belching that happens with fish oil. The breakdown of fish oil can cause unwanted free radicals in your body.
So....To sum it up:
To sum it up Neptulein Krill Oil
All Natural Krill Oil is much different than Fish Oil.  It is made up as a double chain phospholipid structure. In humans, Omega-3 fats are in the same phospholipid form. Therefore, with Krill Oil the body's system does not have to break down (metabolize) the form before it can be absorbed.  It is 100% bio-available and a perfect lipid match to the human body. It is naturally loaded with super antioxidants.  The red in the Krill is Astaxanthin -a carotenoid pigment that is extremely beneficial; a powerful "super quencher" of the free radical singlet oxygen and scavenger of peroxyl radicals that damage cell structure and function. Reducing free radical activity slows the aging process.

Krill Oil Better than Fish Oil:
    - lower doses needed compared to fish oil (3 times) much higher absorption than fish oil
    - more effective (phospholipid) form than fish oil
    - far greater antioxidant power than fish oil
    - loaded with astaxanthin (a super phytonutrient)
    - always fresh - unlike fish oil
    - no need for preservatives as in fish oil
    - no harmful heavy metals (such as mercury) or toxins (such as PCBs
    - cold pressed to sustain natural properties
Neptulein Krill Oil  The Red in Krill?
Again, one of the reasons krill oil is much more effective than fish oil is because it is naturally loaded with the powerful antioxidant called astaxanthin (500 times more powerful than Vitamin E) - the micro-algae (phytoplankton) that krill eat produces the bright red pigment astaxanthin (pronounced asta-zan-thin) which gives their reddish-pink color.
    astaxanthin molecules
The astaxanthin (which is water soluble) binds together with a lipid (fat) protein, that make the perfect Omega-3 Neptulein Krill Product. "The free radical scavenging activity of astaxanthin protects lipids from peroxidation and reduces oxidative damage." http://www.phytochemicals.info/phytochemicals/astaxanthin.php
This excerpt is from an article written by author Mike Adams from NaturalNews.com on the benefits of astaxanthin:
Note: this article is an opinion about the benefits of astaxanthin (the red in the krill) only.
    • Virtually eliminates arthritis pain for many people
    • Eases or eliminates chronic back pain
    • Accelerates muscle healing for strength trainers, weekend warriors, and people who get sore easily (I use it following my strenuous gymnastics workouts, and my soreness recovery time has been cut in half)
    • Functions as an internal sunscreen to enhance your tolerance of sun exposure
    • Offers powerful protection for the eyes and prevents macular degeneration
    • Prevents heart disease due to oxidative damage
    • Boosts immune system function
    • Reduces pain from carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive motion injuries
    • Protects the nervous system from degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's Disease
    • Multiplies the effects of Vitamin E and Vitamin C in your body
    • Enhances athletic performance: both strength and endurance
    • Lowers LDL cholesterol
    • Clinical trials have shown that Astaxanthin: Helps Protect Eye Health, Helps Prevent Neurodegenerative Diseases, Helps Cardiovascular Diseases, Helps Animal Health, Helps to Limit or Prevent Sun Burn, Helps Gain a Quicker and Deeper Tan, Alleviates the Effects of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Protects the Joints from Inflammation after Exercise, and many more. Astaxanthin, a naturally occurring carotenoid pigment, is a powerful biological antioxidant.
      A Powerful Combination
While astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant in its own right, the benefits of Neptulein Krill Oil takes that power to a higher level. As mentioned, astaxanthin is found in micro-algae. It happens that krill eat only algae. Thus, the astaxanthin in krill, and only krill, is 100% esterified. What does that mean to you? Your body absorbs it ALL. It's already metabolized, so you get the full 100% antioxidant benefit. (If your body had to convert/metabolize it, you'd only be using 50% of it.)

Clinical findings comparing Krill Oil to Fish Oil:

Alternative Medicine ReviewSept, 2007  by Parris M. Kidd

    Menstration - PMS Relief

In the krill group, 36 women consumed 2 g/day krill oil with meals (providing 800 mg phospholipids and 600 mg Omega-3 FAs). The fish oil group consumed 2 g/day fish oil (18:12; 18% EPA/12% DHA) with meals, providing 600 mg DHA/EPA. Subjects in both groups took supplements every day for the first 30 days, then for just 10 days per month during the succeeding two months (beginning eight days prior to expected menstruation). The women tracked mental and physical symptoms on a questionnaire developed by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. (92)

Although the fish oil and krill groups both improved in weight, abdominal discomfort, and swelling, only the krill group experienced statistically significant improvements in breast tenderness, feelings of inadequacy, stress, irritability, depression, joint discomfort, and bloating. The krill group also reported more improved alertness, energy, and wellbeing. By conclusion of the study, the krill group consumed significantly fewer analgesic medications during the 10 perimenstrual days than the fish oil group. Unlike the krill group, 64 percent in the fish oil group complained of unpleasant reflux. (92)

    Krill Supports Circulatory Health

Circulatory health is fundamental to brain health. Blood lipid abnormalities (elevated LDL and total cholesterol, reduced HDL, and high triglycerides) contribute not only to morbidity and mortality associated with cardiovascular disease, but also to cognitive decline. In a double-blind trial, krill oil was compared to fish oil (18% EPA/12% DHA) in men and women with hyperlipidemia (total cholesterol above 194 mg/ dL; triglycerides above 204 mg/dL). (93)

In this 90-day trial, two groups of subjects received krill at either 1-1.5 g/day or 2-3 g/day (depending on body mass index (BMI)), another group received 3 g/day fish oil, and a fourth group received placebo. At its lowest dosage (1-1.5 g/day), krill oil significantly lowered total and LDL cholesterol and elevated HDL cholesterol, compared to baseline and to the fish oil and placebo groups. At 2 g/day, krill also significantly lowered serum triglycerides in addition to cholesterol, while the highest krill intake (3 g/day) did not produce additional benefit over 2 g/day. The fish oil lowered cholesterol only marginally and failed to lower triglycerides below baseline values.

    Anti-Inflammatory Effects

C-reactive protein (CRP) is a systemic inflammatory marker and a strong predictor of stroke and cognitive impairment. (94) In a double-blind RCT, krill oil demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects. (95) The study recruited a total of 90 subjects with cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, or osteoarthritis, and high levels of CRP (> 1.0 mg/ dL). Subjects received a low dose of 300 mg/day krill oil or placebo and were assessed at baseline, 7, 14, and 30 days. By day 7, krill had significantly reduced CRP (by 19%; p<0.05) compared to placebo. The CRP reduction was more marked at day 30 (30% reduction; p<0.01) compared to placebo. Fish oil has failed to lower CRP in at least four studies. (96).  Many scientist believe that most disease is directly related to inflamation in the body.

    Omega-3 Phospholipids Target the Brain

Much evidence gleaned from animal studies (rodents and primates) indicates fatty acids are more bioavailable when provided in the form of phospholipids than as triglycerides or ethyl esters. In one study, brain fatty acid bioavailability was more than doubled by using phospholipids compared to triglycerides as the delivery form. This experiment compared tissue deposition of a fatty acid (arachidonic acid) in triglyceride form (as often found in fish oil) or phospholipid form, fed to neonatal baboons. (97)
    Krill Study and Arthritic Symptoms
A study in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition examined krill oil (300 mg daily) compared to a placebo and found that krill oil was effective at reducing arthritis symptoms and inflammation. http://altmedicine.about.com/od/herbsupplementguide/a/krilloil.htm

What About Omega-3 From Plant Sources?:
    Flax Plant
With the increasing popularity of vegetarian diets and mounting fears about mercury and PCBs in seafood, people often ask about using flax oil or other plant omega sources (which contains alpha-linolenic acids - or ALA) instead of fish oil. Our bodies can convert ALA into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) - the beneficial elements of Omega-3 but the conversion process is very slow and inefficient. The unique phospholipid structure in Krill Oil, is many times more bioavailable than fish oil, light years of difference in bioavailability than plant Omega-3, and is very pure.

    Antarctic Krill
Krill is harvested under International Treaties that protect the environment by regulating the oceanic harvesting practice. The World Health Organization estimates that the total quantity of krill on the planet exceeds 500 million tons and reproduction rate is 200,000 tons.  Approximately 110,000 tons of krill are harvested every year, or less than one-half of 0.1% of existing resources.  90% of this harvest is for salmon farms and food for zoo animals.  Only 10% of the total harvest is used for the production of NKO krill oil.
