We are in the beginning stages of developing a highly unique and inovative online Co-op program. This program will be offering high end natural nutritional supplements and premium super foods at wholesale pricing. The network's name is Nature's Network. The initial launch (first order placed) is expected in 2010
The idea of the network stems from the need for premium supplements and high quality super foods at an affordable wholesale price tag. The products will be offered direct to the co-op member at manufacturer/distributor pricing. Co-ops traditionally have been locally driven and grocery focused. This co-op will be focused on supplements and super foods, offered nationwide in the USA - a first of its kind.
The unique heartbeat of Nature's Network is to allow the members to decide which products they want the network to purchase. The need and desire of the network members will determine the supply of products offered from the network. The products in which the members decide on, will be of wholesale pricing. Members will be able to place their orders once a month. The products will be ordered from the manufacturer and sent to Nature's Network's distribution hub (currently being set-up). From the hub, the bulk orders will be repackaged or boxed and shipped directly to the active member.
The working of the network will start with a members beta club. The NN beta membership will have no intitial cost during the start-up phase The members will be encouraged to offer their own input during the beta period, specific to the products they are wanting. A social network will be set up on the Co-Op's website - www.naturesnetwork.net (not yet active). This will allow interactive involvement and discussion with the members in developing the product line. We encourage you to offer comments on your supplement needs in the current comment section - once you have signed-up.
An example of savings the program can offer: Usually retail products are marked up approximately 100%. This means if a product is bought for $1 then it is sold for $2. A product may retail for $20, but the network may be able to purchase the same product at a wholesale cost of $8-$12. Let's say you bought 4 products monthly at a savings of $8 each. You would save $32 a month or $384 a year.
The products' price will be posted along with the MSRP (suggested retail price) on the site. Nature's Network would mark up the wholesale products' price by just 10% or 10 cents on a dollar. This small markup will cover the cost of the handling, the processing of the shippments and the negotiating with vendors. There will be no minimums or maximums set for a member's order unless required by the source itself. Any quantity requirements would be clearly stated on the order page.
The first phase of the program is in progress, with a working list of products being compiled. Nature's Network at times will be able to purchase special buys and deep discounted products, which would be featured on the site also. The special buys may be one-time buys above and beyond the standard products offered.
The success of the network is dependent on the members' (especially beta members') involvement. The main need from members would be product suggestions that the network could carry. We will need an initial 500 beta members before the official launch, so word of mouth networking will be vital to the success of the program. In other words, tell your friends to sign-up to work on the beta team. The sooner we get our beta member base the quicker we can launch the co-op. It's free!
Once the beta phase is over, new members will be asked to join the network and pay an annual membership fee of $75. Beta members who have been actively involved in the beta program would be offered a $25 discount off the annual fee via electronic coupon and would only pay $50 for the annual fee. A Beta member is under no contractual obligation to become a full fledge member. Also, all initial NN Beta members would continue to recieve a $25 annual discount each annual renewal for life as a reward for being a beta member. This is a great incentive to get on board early and is a deed of appreciation from the network. The network will be separate from any Zoe' Living business.
