Cultura® Advanced Probiotic is scientifically formulated with two (2) main groups of probiotics and seven (7) complimentary strains. The multi-group, multi-strain combination works synergistically together to supply the best possible effect for the digestive gut maintenance. Just supplementing the popular acidophilus strain doesn't offer the healthy balance your system naturally needs. Your digestive system needs a proper balance of multiple strains. Most of these strains are designed to work together and some strains are designed to perform specific functions in the digestive track.
Cultura® is comprised of selectively isolated and specific cultured probiotic strains. Each capsule contains 5.6 billion live organisms (CFU). If you are one of the millions of Americans with poor digestive health or suffer from a weakened immune system then Cultura® Advanced Probiotic may be for you.
In earlier times, when fermentation was one of the main methods for the preservation of food, the intake of probiotic bacteria was high. Today, the situation is different. The use of freezers, refrigerators, the pasteurisation of food like dairy products and the use of different kinds of preservatives have replaced fermentation as a method for the preservation of food. Our food simply has become unnaturally sterile.
In the United States, yogurt is required to be produced by the fermentation by Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. However, post-fermentation heat treatment of yogurt (which kill live cultures) is allowed. Most yogurts marketed as "probiotic" contain corn syrup and/or white refined sugar. These additives are counter productive and work against good bacteria.
Cultura® Not Just Another Acidophilus Pill
There are various kinds of probiotics – they could be bacterial or of a yeast origin. In the bacterial group, there are different strains you will find within the two groups - Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. The two groups are what should be found naturally in your digestive system. Cultura® has been specifically optimized with both groups and seven multiple strains!
Who Should Take Probiotics?
Most everyone could benefit from probiotics. Getting the proper blend of probiotics (flora) in our daily diet is very important but yet is not apart of most peoples diet. The intestinal-gut area is the epicenter of our immune system. If your immune system is healthy, than you can be healthy. It is very important to add the good bacteria back into your system if you have just completed a course of antibiotics. Antibiotics won't just kill the bad bacteria, it also eliminates the good beneficial bacteria in your intestines.
Most Americans have suppressed flora. Probiotic flora, the good bacteria, are fragile life forms existing in the normal body. Flora lives with a dynamical balance along with pathological (bad) bacteria, fungi, and viral forms. The good bacteria strains keep the bad bacteria from taking over. Unfortunately, the good flora gets killed off by:
- antibiotics we take
- antibiotics in the meat we eat
- antacids
- NSAIDs, like Advil, Tylenol, Excedrin, Motrin, etc.
- many prescription and over-the-counter medications
- white refined sugar and corn syrup
- carbonated drinks
- antihistamines

L. rhamnosus is one of the most intensely studied probiotic strains. Its advantages in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders are well documented. It has particularly been associated with the prevention or alleviation of diverse intestinal disorders such as lactose intolerance, viral and bacterial diarrhea, adverse effects of abdominal radiotherapy, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease, and food allergy The "Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology" notes that it "has proven beneficial affects on intestinal immunity." |

L. casei is a transient, anaerobic microorganism of genus Lactobacillus found in the human intestine and mouth. As a lactic acid producer, it has been found to assist in the propagation of desirable bacteria. This particular species of lactobacillus is documented to complement the growth of Lactobacillus acidophilus. |

B. longum is one of the most important residents in the human gastrointestinal tract, B. longum keeps the digestive system running smoothly, blocks the growth of harmful bacteria, and boosts the immune system. B longum is among the first to colonise the sterile digestive tract of newborns and predominates in breast-fed infants. |
